For European programmes and regions
A proven approach at village scale, ready to be applied elsewhere.
European programmes look for partners that deliver not one pillar but the whole: energy, building, community and governance in one working model, demonstrated in practice and repeatable in other contexts. That is exactly what we have built up in the Netherlands, and what we bring into consortia, pilots and programmes.
What we bring
- A living laboratory at village scale. In Zalk an existing village heart has been taken off gas, extended circularly and set up as a local energy system, with the community as owner. It can be visited, measured and questioned.
- A repeatable method. We distinguish between what is the same everywhere (the method, the integration, the way of measuring) and what has to differ per place (the people, the rules, the landscape). That makes the approach transferable without becoming arbitrary.
- Integral expertise in one team. Structural engineering, energy systems, digital control, materials knowledge, industrial production, finance and community building. Not a chain of subcontractors, but one partner with every discipline at the table.
- Evidence discipline. Every claim about results carries its status: demonstrated, measured, in development or ambition. What has not been measured, we call direction. That makes reporting to programmes and evaluators simple and reliable.
- Collaboration across borders. Through CebimifAi European Communities we work with regions, municipalities and cooperatives elsewhere in Europe on energy communities and local ownership, with what works in a Dutch village as the starting point.
- Open to technology partners. Our approach is technology-agnostic. Partners who want to apply and scale their technology for real find a working environment with us.
What a collaboration looks like
An introduction and, where possible, a visit to Zalk. A joint exploration of the task in your region or programme, with an honest assessment of what can be repeated and what needs local tailoring. A role in the consortium that fits: as integral partner, as designer of the system, or as director of delivery. And a way of measuring agreed from day one.
